Dune Buggy Tires Do Street Legal Dune Buggys Have To Be VWs?

Do street legal dune buggys have to be VWs? - dune buggy tires

I relaxed a Chevy 92 'Astro. I wondered if I could remove the body to give the suspension, larger tires and put a roll cage in it. if it could be road registered, it is still a Chevy Astro? Basically I have a dune buggy type things out of it, or maybe something like a big go-kart.

Forget it. I think Astro is a uni-body and frame from front to back.

Adequate Dune Buggy has a tubular light weight and suspension developed for use in the desert.

Many street children or legal VW dune buggies are no railways in any part of them. If my interpretation is correct, the Astro is not a front-wheel drive vehicle. That would make things even more interesting. You can lock the existing management and make it a rear engine buggy. It will cost money, but not so much if you can solder and know a little about mechanics. Laws from state to state, so you should check with your DMV. You can set many different places and cage match fit the powertrain.
